Should I bring back an attorney for my quirk?
I was T boned on Wednesday and insurance has be a mess so far, I'm looking for some help! I'm out of a car, but they're recitation me they can't find the party at fault within their database and for that reason they're doing an investigation. My insurance (full coverage) as well as theirs won't do much, and the solitary help they've been is letting me know that I can win a rental car on my own and keep the receipts for possible reimbursement. I'm trying to be lenient but I've been out of a car for almost a week in a minute and getting frustrated. My dad thinks getting an attorney will speed up the process, as well as comfort out with the medical bills/compensation. I don't know much about this, but I'd resembling to make informed decision. Any abet is appreciated, thanks! :)
"> If you know you are not at fault, after contact the other guys insureance company, and request a rental car, No reimbursement, make sure it get directly billed to the other guys ins. company. Only use your insureance for the underinsured policy it carries.
since the other insurance company cannot find the driver in their facts base means they cannot confirm if the guy have insurance or not. until they can verify this person, they can do nothing.
contained by an investigation, the 1st thing they do is verify insurance coverage. it does not matter if the other driver is at blemish, they will deny if no coverage.
if they can confirm they have a policy on this guy, then they do a liability investigation to verify if the guy is at culpability. if found liable, they will pay for your damages to your auto, rental car and for your injuries.
tolerate your insurance company handle and get their counsel, since if they pay, they have an "insurable interest" to capture reimbursed for what they pay out.
you can get an attorney, but believe me it wont speed up the process, since close to i stated above, if they cannot find him on the data base, most probable not insured with them.
also the medical bills might be covered under your dads policy and next again they will go after the other insurance for reimbursement. if they determine the other guy has no insurance and if your dad have uninsured coverage, it will pay for pain/suffering and then run after the other guy personally.
also if you get a legal representative, kiss off 1/3 of any settlement. once a lawyer is involved, you are out of the picture, since they can simply talk to the lawyer.
achieve the advice from your insurance company.
