Should a father hire a private defense attorney for his 32 yr frail son if....?

The son is charged with 3 felonies and does not get the message police protocol ie when they are allowed to use force? They probably thought he was nuts. The son is charged in 2nd amount assualt to a police officer because the police officer in Salem NH, broke his wrist while punching the son? The son allegedly drove 60 mph down the wrong side of a road that was controlled to 30 mph and then drove through a construction fence, continuing to outrun police next to the fence bar attached to the hood of his saloon until he flipped the car 4 times totalling the car because he say he had a suspended license and an uninspected vehicle? He says when the police asked him his describe that they told him that he was not giving his proper name and later he told them to look in his f!(a)#$% wallet. I understand that this type of response is considered to be combative behavior on the member of a suspect. He was hit over the head next to a billy club too according to him. There were 6 policemen who arrested him.
Answers:
It is not a matter of him "understanding" police protocol. It is a thing of him not giving a hell even if he does. However, yes I would hire him a lawyer because in my guess, the officer have no reason to punch him especially with six other officer on the scene to assist. I would get him the best legal representation possible.next I would spring for the extra money to get him counseling and anger management. After that, if he does not translate wash your hands of his problems and agree to him figure it out on his own.
You can hire a lawyer if you enjoy extra thousands $$ to waste on that loser. Only what good will it create? The lawyer might (or might not) get for him a poorer sentence; and as soon as he will be released, he will get into trouble again. It's time for him to grow up and learn how to verbs up his own mess.
Let me see after driving on the wrong side of the road at high speeds, and running though a obstruction and flipping the car, he wants anyone to beleive he be just standing them cursed an officer,

Read the report and find out what really happened, we adjectives know he had to also try to get away and have to be physcially detained.

Police hit the arms, body and legs with thier baton, they don't hit over the skipper ( had they did, he would be unconscience, not still standing)
Wow, I would definately hire him a advocate, it sound like he requests it and you are family.
Hes' thirty F***ing-two! Time to grow up! I'm sure he's had plenty of chances near daddy bailing him out....which is why he is where he is now instead of person a productive citizen. Let him us the private defender program....they are there for losers similar to him.
Not to be mean or anything your son shouldnt enjoy been trying to be a smartass. Obviously if he was driving on the wrong side of the road speeding and flipped the motor several times totaling it I think the police officer would be pretty ticked off. You hold to see if your son is telling the whole truth. No event what the police shouldnt have been so rude and assault him. And i have never heard of a uninspected vehicle. Get an attorney..surrounded by this country you can sue anyone for anything even if your at fault.. lol.. :)
The story sound very fishy to me. Having hear lots of them before, I call BS. I give attention to there is a lot more to it.

Regardless of the story, he is 32 years out-of-date. Unless he was with me at church when the police accuse him of a murder in another state, he's on the big boy program and can get his own attorney.
Guy be lucky he didn't get what is refer ed to as "The Royal Treatment". That's the name given to the trouncing Rodney KING got. Does the dad have the money to recompense for the lawyer? If so then why not. If not the son should freshly plead guilty and save his family the time and expense. If he have no money of his own the son might try using a Public Defender or go see a civil right organization that might enjoy Pro Bono attorneys willing to take on the valise. But all in adjectives the son sound like a valid idiot.
Can't this 32 year old son afford his own advocate?

If not, and you're the father, and can afford it, get the lawyer. It sounds resembling the Cops/DA may be inflating the charges because of the nature of the offense(s). It sounds like the officer broke his own wrist (while striking the son?).

Police really don't close to chases or suspects that swear at them and/or resist arrest. Sounds like the police may have be meating out some instant justice. Then again, their actions may enjoy been justified.
