Can anyone update me how to find a attorney who does pro bono divorces. thank you, no prank?

I also heard that you can get a do-it-yourself divorce on queue for about $200.00. But how do you go in the region of finding something like that. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Again, thank you.

I file my own divorce in Multnomah County, Oregon. I downloaded the forms from the internet...

http://www.ojd.state.or.us/osca/cpsd/cou…

See Packet 1 ; I would assume you can download the same forms for any state...

Then I jam-packed them all out and set an appointment with Multnomah County to turn it adjectives in. Make SURE to make an appointment, raison d`être they will have a person sit down near you to review the papers and make sure everything is done right. You pay for it afterwards as well ($368).

They give you two copies of the paperwork, one for you and one that desires to be served to the spouse. You can serve them with an officer, or have a friend or kith and kin member serve them for you. (you cannot serve your spouse yourself). The server has a form to saturate out an sign. This form does NOT have to be notorized.

The court also gives you two more sets of paperwork. One to turn contained by 30 days after serving your spouse that says they do not dispute the divorce, and the 2nd to be turned in after 90 days. This is the final paperwork.

Good Luck! It is not as complicated as people make it out to be. If you truly hold no property to divide, no kids, no dispute, then do it yourself. Dont waste your money on lawyer and paralegals.
Go to www.legal services4less.com and you can find lawers that will help surrounded by just about anything.
Legal aid society contained by your State.
I was told that your can buy the software for a divorce. Just download to your computer. But be careful, if you hold equity, a home, car, kids, pension,savings- anything near a $ sign.
Also different divorce laws for different states. So my advise to you is ...if you own any issues with money matters, procure a lawyer.
You can walk online to your state's bar association and you can pick up the forms in any stationery store or Office Depot or Office Max have them.

The website usually tells which attorneys will do pro bono work.
If it doesn't call the state Bar Association phone number or calling your states' Legal Aid number might relieve.
