Lawyer vs. Public Defender on DUI bag (1st)?
.O79 breath test after being pulled over (5mph over 60mph zone)
.078 at the station
-Passed grazing land sobriety tests
-They processed and released me
-Didn't punch my drivers license
Never been within trouble w/the law, 1st offense.
Should I hire a high priced attorney? Or progress with a public defender? It is one held in a very upscale city near a high income ratio.
Court date is the 25th; may ask for 1 time extension.
Answers:
First of adjectives. I wouldn't think you could get a public supporter, being that you're not incarcerated, Usually if a person bails out, This breakers their rights to a public defender. This is a very serious charge and can effect your adjectives, but I think with a average Attorney, this should be capable of be taken care of rather undemanding being your first offense.
Is in attendance any way that you could meet next to a public defender before the court date and discuss option with them? I would try to do that, because if you feel discomfited with the public defender, I'd ask for a time extension and hire an attorney. Good luck to you!
i would go next to the high priced attorney.
Public defender. Also request an extension to find your facts together. Your Lawyer will probably get you a recless driving charge instead of a Dui, being your testing was so weak and you passed your corral tests.
It's not a matter of personal choice. Public defender are only appointed for those who can't afford to hire a lawyer. If you can afford a advocate, you don't qualify for a public defender. If you lie more or less your income to obtain a public defender, that's also a crime.
Get a lawyer. No quiz! You're such a borderline case that a good advocate might be able to get you sour... a public defender (if you even qualify for one -- do you?) has more central things on their minds. Source(s): http://duifinder.com
