he's phucking screwed!
they drop the hammer pretty hard contained by Texas and the 3rd DWI is going to get him time for sure, running, and hiding while on probation will double his time, he might get a few years to sober up and I hope he get more, My family lives in Texas and I'd ruin him if he ever get drunk and killed my sister or her kids....
I'd like to see him find 5 years!
He can expect to have a charge of resisting arrest and fleeing to avois arrest added. This could add some put in prison time to the DWI charge that he will most likely serve some jail time for. The ststus of his probation could be changed to a lock up sentence as well.
It depends on how hard they want to be on him. he clearly hasn't learned anything from his past. They can throw adjectives kinds of traffic citations at him, and they probably will, to use as leverage to force a plea deal. If this is immediately his 4th DWI, while a 3rd hadn't worked its way through the system yet and he's on probation for the 2nd, he is looking at a minimum of a year. He'd better seize it if that's the offer, because if this goes trial, it's going for adjectives of the charges, not just one, and conviction means 3 to 5, at lowest possible.
Looks like he is going to go to put inside. Yes that makes the crime way worse. He evidently needs to quit drinking if he can't stay out from behind the joystick when he is drunk. Tell him to try AA. They might be able to help him. Or counseling of some helpful.
Hopefully 3 or more years in prison. That should stir him up. Of course running from the cops makes the crime more serious, but it doesn't matter at this point anyway. I'm sure you love your brother, but the rest of us want him surrounded by prison.
