Answers:
DWI is a VERY serious charge. Get a lawyer, to clear sure you get the full benefit of the law. Plead guilty and you're throwing yourself to the wolves, and they will rip you apart and have you for lunch. As much as people will want to see you grasp punished, there's no need for you to get screwed.
Yh legal drinking age and the amount of alcohol consumed is going to err or defect your driving skill. They would probably ask you to do community service as a compensation or money surrounded by other words you have to help the community out one method or the other. 0.08 blood alcohol count is going to be submitted as evidence and well its not easy when the probability are stacked against you. The fact is not what matters but the alcohol count i can drink 5 peg but the quantity in your blood is what matter and that depends on other factors like your size though i.e. up to your metabloism purely. Your digestive system if it could excrete what is existent in your blood then you will be fine otherwise you enjoy committed a law according to the federal GOVT.
I would not plead guilty, no matter if I was caught red-handed.
They will definitely throw the book at you.
It sounds like you have already well-educated your lesson, now try to do your best to save your skin.
Say that you stand previously the Court with a contrite heart and that you realize that you could have kill innocent people because of your reckless and thoughtless ruling to get behind the joystick of a motor vehicle after drinking.
plead not guilty. consult with a attorney. not us.
Do your best Foster Brooks impersonation, you'll be just fine
"Yes sir. No sir. I was stupid sir."
And if you be busted at .08 while driving, you are intoxicated (at least in Texas I don't know what the trial limit is in your state) and how frequent beers (or margaritas in case that's how you roll) you drank doesn't business because you were drunk driving end of story. Just show up on the dot to court and dress formally (slacks & tucked in button up shirt), it doesn't help dressing approaching a punk or gangster, you're just asking for trouble. And NO SMILING. It shows you don't give a s h i t, making any worthy outcome impossible.
And always talk, appear, and perform respectfully. Address everyone as "sir" or "ma'am" and keep your responses brief and clear. Judges don't care how crazy they delegation was or how it was adjectives a big mistake/misunderstanding. And don't try to defend yourself against the charges! Especially if you end up arguing near the judge. That's the stupidest thing anyone can do. Remember the golden words: "Yes sir. No sir. I be stupid sir." They will get you throught it and hopefully you'll come out with singular a small fine and probation, or community service or maybe some alcohol awareness classes. It depends on how you come across to the judge. Good luck. Source(s): I've be in a courtroom more times than I would've wished. My text: 18 hrs community service, alcohol awareness courses, dismissal of charges if stayed out of trouble for a yr.
