I own court Thurs. for a dwi. What is the best article to do/say to the peacemaker?
Answers:
How about " I'm sorry, I won't do it again and please forgive me"
Lie, lie, LIE. Lie your a s s stale and then lie some more... Or, don't.... DWI eh? Were you hammer or just buzzed enough that you get sloopy and got caught? Seriously, I'd take this as a sign that you obligation to make some changes and do what's going to preserve you from getting into this position again. Honesty is the best policy. But a good lie go a looooong way! hahaha
The best thing to do is admit to it and adopt your punishment and learn from it.
don't "admit" anything, and don't allow them to "force" you to sign something waiving your rights past you see a judge. This is very adjectives in some places. A court assistant will tell you you involve to sign something, such as a waiver to right of a jury trial, in order to see the conciliator. Do not believe them, wait until you talk to a believe to be, and everything is on the record to believe anything you are told by the court.
If you can't afford an attorney, ask for a public defender to articulate to about your case up to that time you make any decisions. Tell them you would close to to talk to an attorney before you manufacture your plea, and if they force you to plea, plead not guilty, as you can change that later, but you can't cash no contest, nor guilty later.
Also, understand, that pleading something similar to "reckless driving" is no better than a dwi, for the most part. They will most probable want you to pay all alike fines, take all one and the same classes, you lose your license the same amount of time, and your insurance company knows what it process.
Get a lawyer. If you can't afford one I don't see it going well near you. If you didn't physically have the alcohol (or whatever it was) within the car with you that will probably aid.
Further than that I would recommend a good amount of Mea Culpa here.
The key is if you are making a guilty plea or will disagree the charge. If you will accept a guilty charge, then you must address the court as one who is enormously sorry and am currently/will soon seek treatment. If you will fight the charge, consequently you will simply ask for a jury trial (or however you decide to fight, if in attendance are choices).
About the only point you can say to the Judge is "yes sir" or "no sir", if you are guilty.
If you feel you are not guilty be damn sure to show up beside an Attorney. One that has a good track story defending DWI's. Then you won't have to worry just about what to say.
Say: "I need a drink".
or: "Can I grasp the Hilton cell?"
(Well, actually, you'd have to plead the DWI down to hot-headed first, and then violate your probation and drive a few times on your suspended license, etc. No, that special treatment isn't available to you just but.)
