What be your experience within settling a injury claim near adjuster?
Have anyone ever settled a claim with the other fault participant;s insurance co.? What information did you have to give to the adjuster? Did they cooperate near you? How long did they take to come to an agreement with you? What be your experience? Did you need legal serve or no?
Answers:
Get an attorney. I have dealt next to them and if they know you are going it alone they will rip you off. State Farm is the worst to deal beside!
I settled my own accident case but I worked for an attorney at the time. I concluded up settleing for 20K on a shoulder injury that eventually healed and did not need a hospital stay or surgery. (I have an impingement but with PT it got better). Of course the insurance company will try to low globe you. What type of injury did you have? Did you have a hospital stay? How much are your medical bills currently or are you still contained by treatment? These are all things to consider. DO NOT settle until your medical treatment is complete. Do not talk to them on the phone-they will beckon you wanting to know how you're feeling, how your treatment is going etc.. They are not your friend. Only interact with them through packages and keep copies of same. After adding up your final medical bills next you need to decide on an amount that you reason your case is worth. Put it in writing and start glorious because they will try to negotiate you lower. Use phrases in your letter similar to "in good faith". If you necessitate any help, or have further question, email me.
Sometimes it's wise to get an attorney but don't forget they find a piece of your pie too. Generally 1/3.
