How is time rotten figure? for an insurance claim for an injury? Please read the details....?

The insurance company is going to pay me for time I was bad work or had to use sick days.
I was hurt surrounded by an accident at the end of a calendar year. I didn't hold enough sick days left to bring the time off I needed for recovery. My employer agreed to foot me for the days I was at out so I didn't loose my job or own to go on disability. I agreed to make up the time surrounded by the next calendar year by working some evenings and Saturdays without getting compensated within any way. I did come to work some during that time, but even at the office, I habitually shut my office door and slept because I was injured so unsuccessfully. I would never do that otherwise.
What is the fair way to amount out the number of days I get reimbursed for? My employment record say I was there but I really wasn't AND I did enjoy to make up all the time I missed subsequent.
Before my accident, I planned a vacation for the first two weeks of the subsequent calendar year. I took that vacation, but was still recovering. It be a horrible vacation...

you probably will capture nothing as you were reimbursed for time lost be accident work related
From the dateof the injury until the date the dr certifies you are competent to return to work!
It sounds as though you were rewarded for all your lost time. You will not get rewarded twice. If you are tort eligible(ability to file a pain & suffering claim), afterwards the adjuster will evaluate your claim. Threshold requirements vary from state to state.

The evaluation is based on the temper and extent of your injury, treatment and disability. Medical records will be needed, and the adjuster will review these to determine how long you were totally disabled, & somewhat disabled. You will be monetary compensated for this period of time in tally to your injury.

If you did in fact lose wages, consequently these will be included in the settlement along with your medical expenses.

I assume that you do not live surrounded by a state where Personal Injury Protection coverage is mandatory. If you are, then you enjoy to file a claim against your own policy for reimbursement of your wages and meds. Source(s): Claims - 21 years
Hint: if you attempt to 'spin' any of this you will get NOTHING. The fact that you in truth were at work will be very sturdy to dispute when you attempt to squeeze money out of the adjuster. When you're injured and cannot work, you need to be home. The insurance company doesn't care if you screwed your employer by sleeping within your office during work hours (are you going to reinburse HIM for that time??). Just come clean beside the claims adjuster and try to come to a reasonable settlement. If you start playing hardball it will get revolting real fast. Source(s): Claims pro
Might have to only count the days you be actually not there. if your insurance did sort of an audit, you may enjoy to reimburse them possibly. And if they counted you as if you were there, you must be getting rewarded then? Maybe i'm wrong but you shouldn't be getting paid by both of them consequently?
