I've been injured on the job twice.
I have a really bad time filing a claim. The first doctor said I wasn't hurt and tried loading me up on dull pain pills. I saw him twice, complained to my workplace and went to another doctor. She was great! She be very professional and gave me a disablility percentage rating. After my workplace found out I be entitled to a lump sum for my injuries they flipped out and ordered me to have a second opinion. The doc saw me, confirmed what the previous physician have diagnosed, and told me he didn't understand why I needed a second opinion. Although I made roughly $3,400 bucks, I wouldn't say it was worth it for the injury I received to my vertebrae. Long story short, expect to be playing LOTS of games with people. If they try bulling you, find a Workers Compensation or Injury legal representative to deal with your valise.
Good luck!
I was injured on the job contained by Sept., 2002 and am still waiting to go to work. The doctors are doing their best, but they are limited by what the insurance holder is willing to pay for. Don't conflict the insurance company alone - Get an attorney!
