Anyone a legal representative or I don`t know married to one or even know roughly speaking their vivacity contained by broad?
I'm ending my soph. year of college this year and I REALLY want to go to regulation school and it has be my plan since the end of highschool. Then I wanted to be some sort of civil rights advocate but now i'm moving towards crimminal deffense, civil law, relatives, dipute resaloution just like a standard everyday lawyer. However today i read that lawyers are markedly unhappy. the biggest reason for premature disappearance of lawyers is suicde. so here is my question
1. Are lawyer unhappy with their situation and if so why?
I also wondered how you start your own practice. I think thats what i really ultimatly want to do. Has anyone done that? How did you do it? I think mabye working contained by a big firm for 5 years and then starting my own.

About 15 years ago, the American Bar Association did a study that said that 90% of all lawyer that had practiced law more than 10 years would not tolerate their kids become lawyers if they wanted to. (It be something like that.) I was shocked and, when I said that, some elder lawyers that I knew said "You haven't be practing law 10 years, that's why you're not burned out yet."
But I come up with it's all about why you go into the field in the first place. I didn't do it to draw from rich or famous or that kind of point, I like to help populace and I am happy even though I know other lawyers that produce lots more money than me. I'm doing what I want to do.
I know several lawyer friends that are pretty happy, too, but I also know some lawyer that are unhappy or who have quit to do other things.
Yes, I've open my own firm and it's hard work. The paper work (tax forms, etc.) are a valid pain in the you-know-where and it take time to be boss, it takes you away from the pure practice of law, but does free you up to desire exactly what kinds of cases you WANT to do.
