I bought a scooter from a small time dealership, when I get it home it wouldn't start. Is near a lemon tenet?

When I bought the scooter the dealership guy told me they were trying to get out of the business of selling scooters. I rode the scooter around his lot and it run fine, I paid for it and took it home. When I got home it wouldn't start for some pretext. My dad also bought one that is still running very in good health. I then took the scooter back and told the guy purely give me my money back. Since I have only had the scooter for merely 2 days, I felt that it would be the honest thing to do. But he told me that it be a clean deal and they couldn't pilfer it back. So I told him if you can fix it then I will be delighted to keep it. He changed the spark plug and I picked it up, however when I got home I started it and drove it for just about 20 minutes and it stalled and wouldn't start again. I called the guy and said I don't want a scooter that doesn't run, he told me to take it to a shop, and that he wouldn't purloin it back. Isn't there a lemon statute for scooters, I have only have it a week and it don't even run?

The only means of access to fight back is to find out the recend canon in your state. Most states it is 3 days . Meaning if you are not satisfied beside the product you can take it back for a full return within 3 days. You must hire a lawyer for this, specifically what I had to do once. That will run you at least $100 or more. The scooter resale convenience is very low. David Douglas

Most scooters are Chinese junk, and they are abused and not maintain by their previous owners. In addition, there is no title or registration - a scooter is freshly a toy in the eyes of the law, and lemon law don't apply to them.

Sorry to hear about the bad experience, but your best bet would be to steal it to a small engine shop. A place that fixes lawnmowers and such.
Depending on what you paid, you might know how to litigate in small claims court.

Most China scooter engine and variable pulley drive unit are generally reliable . . there can be numerous relatively minor fuel or electrical system issues however. One of the most frequent current rider issues is not centering the "emergency off switch" (should the throttle stick) on the right-hand control unit.
