Does the lemon tenet for cars jump for used cars too??

I bought it in Ohio...and live in michigan.

It is my understanding the lemon imperative goes for any car you buy, but it does hold provisions. Best thing to do is consult an attorney.
sarah b the b must stand for be-ochh - no lemon law on used vehicles -they are lemons thats why race got rid of em
lemon imperative only applies to new vehicle period end of story .once a vehicle breaks down and is out of warranty the owner -yes thats right the owner of the vehicle have to pull little green stips of paper out of their wallet and remuneration to get it fixed Source(s): been within the car bussines 15 years and am sick of people who want something for zilch
Yeah that's what they were designed for!
Most "Lemon Laws" cover any sports car under the original warranty. If you own the extended warranty, you extended you original warranty, you still qualify. My car have 87,000 miles, my extended covers to 100,000, if I have a problem that qualifies as a "Lemon" next I'm still covered(even used cars). Remember a "Lemon" is something that can't be fixed by the manufacture(within several attempts).
It sounds to me that you might have a case against who sold you the coupé, but probably not a "lemon". Look up "Lemon-aid for car buyers". GOOD LUCK!! Source(s): I'm an ex Ca DMV employee and owner of Alternative Vehicle Registration contained by Murrieta, Ca
After reviewing the Ohio Lemon Law, it merely applies to used cars that are within the 12 month or 18,000 mile limit within the law. Any used car beside that little use should still be under the manufacturer's warranty so that should be your first stop if your car meet that requirement.

That said, if you have an attorney, why are you asking that question here? And mortal such a childish boor about it in the process? You give the impression of being to know everything, so why don't you just go around your business and get it sorted out?

Since you're not even intelligent enough to post full details, similar to the make, model and year then I hope you soak up your lemon! I pity anyone who has to share space with you, sweetie!
There is a lemon law in Ohio, (3 days after purchase) unless your bill says "AS IS". Call the better business bureau, and they can guide you in the process. Good luck to you.
Several factors are involved here. How long ago did you buy the vehicle? How old is the vehicle? Did you buy it from a merchant or a private seller? Did you get a warranty? Are you still inwardly the warranty period (not exceeding time or mileage)?

The lemon laws are designed to provide a recourse if a vehicle is below warranty, and it can not be correctly repaired in a reasonable number of tries. It does not apply unless nearby is a warranty, and has limitations. You do not say that near is a warranty, if there is one, take the sports car back and have it repaired underneath that warranty.

Without a warranty, or if you have exceeded the warranty limits, you will enjoy to pay for the repairs yourself!! Source(s): 26 years in the vehicle business
why are you calling the guy a jerkoff- i checked and he is right

lawyers will enlighten you anything as long as you give them money to represent you ..

if you car is below waranty get a dealer to fix it

from the relationship you posted --
If your car (or other motor vehicle) had smaller number than 18,000 miles on it and you got the vehicle within one year of its innovative delivery date, then the Ohio Lemon Law can cover you.
any "used coupé that has less than 18k and smaller amount than one year from the original delivery date is covered underneath warranty - get it fixed - yes it would also be covered under a lemon imperative but why bother - take the friggin car to a delaer and consent to them fix it and quit calling people names its not nice! Source(s): if the coupé is that pos 1997 eclipse you wrote about earlier sorry - out of warranty reward the bill and buy american next time
Yes the lemon decree is for all cars sold. But the owner must have be aware of the mechanical problem.
Dear Sarah,

I've attached a cooperation to the Ohio attorney general's page on their Lemon Laws, as well as one to Michigan. Read them thoroughly - they make aid you make a decision. Also, check for evoke notices on the particular trademark and model of your car - the manufacturer may hold already agreed to make certain repairs.

No not at all I am sure. Used cars are sold as is. Unless a warranty remains or is added.
If you bought it from an idividual, and not a dealer, youre screwed. Sorry. But possibly its what you get for treating everyone thats trying to help similar to jackasses.
