Is at hand a statute on used cars that are lemons within Illinois?
I know the Illinois lemon only pertains to new cars...is within any law for used cars?!?!? HELP!!

I don't know of any state that have a lemon law on used cars.
The idea of the lemon tenet is to protect the buyer against a defective product. And most lemon laws apply to cars in the first X months/year of their go.
Once you get to a 2nd or 3rd owner who is to say the saloon is defective because of the manufacturer, or because of poor maintenance or because the driver is hasty.
Now, if the owner new of a problem and did not report that to you - there are law in several states about failing to disclose information. But those are intricate cases to win as you have to prove not just that the issue existed, but that the prior owner KNEW going on for the issue.
I don't know your problem but I had one and I took the guy and company who sold it to me to magistrate's court. I own been around lawyers and I hold written several contracts, paternity issues etc. Well, this guy blinked and gave me a better car.
Yes..and no...there is no actual "used car" Lemon Law, but unless sold "AS IS" you do enjoy certain rights...Quote:
