There are only a few instances where the Lemon Law covers used vehicle of any sort, and all are when they are under warranty.

No private jamboree sales are covered under Lemon Laws. All are "as-is".

**EDIT** -- ArmySis - The switch words in the question are "bought from private owner". NO private jamboree sales are covered under Lemon Laws. The links provided below (links to attorneys, I must add) adjectives say the same entity: "SOME" used car sales are covered, and adjectives have to do with purchasing from a salesperson.

So, I called the attorney's office tabled... and they said "sorry, can't help you with private participant sales..."
lemon laws do not cover used vehicle in any state (the only possible exception is California but even consequently it won;t from a private seller)
