Does this fit into California's saloon lemon imperative?
We bought a brand new Suburban right before Christmas surrounded by 2006, so we've had it now for 2 years and enjoy put over 50,000 miles on it. Within the first month 2 seperate problems came up with the keyless entry system (remote). After that, inside a couple of months, the 4 wheel drive gave out. Within a couple-few more months the 4wd give out again. We have had a couple other issues crop up as capably... NOW, as I was turning left through an intersection I hear a soud like something metal flew out from under my coupé and then the words "service stablitrak... service traction control" came up...
Since we have a bunch of things come up ever since we bought it does the CA lemon law apply to our car? Or, does it nouns like we are basically stuck beside a car that will need repairs?
The up-to-the-minute instance SCARED the hell out of me because while I was idling at a stop hurricane lantern, smoke (grey colored smoke) started coming from the back of my car... would that possibly warrant the purveyor taking it seriously enough to try to work something out?
I'm mainly worried because we enjoy 4 kids all in coupé seats and now near smoke coming from the car I'm worried something may happen one time when I'm driving and won't know how to get them out in time...

State lemon law usually only come into play if the dealer attempts to do a repair and is incompetent to do it, multiple repairs does not activate the lemon law here it is so you can procure the info first hand.~

As I read the CA lemon law it is aimed at dealing with one problem the dealership can not correct after repeated attempts. Call any consumer advocacy group and gossip to them. I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time but I think you are stuck with a clunker. Sorry.
Based on my reading of a summary of the statute, this doesn't SOUND close to a lemon law case. It sounds similar to the dealer successfully repaired each problem as it come up, hopefully under warranty. While you seem to hold had a higher incident rate than usual for the suburban (although it is not rate very reliable to begin with), you also enjoy put fairly heavy mileage on it surrounded by two years as well, so you can't really make the bag the car was out of service.
The approach I would probably appropriate is to talk first to the service manager and indicate your history and common dissatisfaction, and see what they offer. I'll assume the car have a standard warranty and is out of it now. Depending on their response, you have zilch to lose by talking to the dealer almost a replacement and seeing if you can get them to kick contained by a little extra trade in because of the problems.
