How can I negotiate near hospital who have lien on personal injury settlement when they enunciate they wont discount!

I was hit by a woman and am recieving a small settlement. Hospital put a lien against her insurance company for FULL BALANCE ONLY and when I called to see if they would negotiate a lower amount they laugh and said, No way. They dont lower the bill for a liability accident and want the full set off paid. I figure that is to say horrid business ethics when Point A. Someone goes into a hospital beside insurace and pays and the insurace company NEVER pays full balance ONLY A PERCENTAGE! and Point B. Someone goes into the hospital minus any insurance and they ALWAYS NEGOTIATE A LOWER BILL FOR THEM> So WITH or WITHOUT insurace they will lower the bill, but because they want their greedy little hands on ALL THE money they file a lien and wont lower the bill!! ANY HELP OUT THERE ON HOW TO NEGOTIATE GRATEFULLY ACCEPTED!
Answers:
Aren't you the one being greedy and wanting to keep hold of the discounted portion yourself?

The other ladies insurance company is paying 100% of the medicals than why should it matter to you. They shouldn't hold to negotiate.

If you were selling a car and you have someone that was going to pay 100% of the price you are asking for why would you negotiate to solitary take 80%.

That isn't being greedy, explicitly just smart business!
You are not in any position to negotiate a settlement, since the hospital have already filed a lien on the settlement in charge to receive a payment in full for the services rendered to you.

What are you trying to do here ? Make a profit for yourself at the expense of the hospital which care for you ?

Get a grip, dear. The hospital is ENTITLED to collect in full whenever it can.
Assuming you included your medical expenses when you sued her insurance company; the hospital is entitled to the full amount due to them.

Sorry
I don't believe your two points are valid arguments. A patient beside insurance does not have to pay, the insurance does. The insurance company have many employees to be in motion over the entire bill to find overcharges, or in case of an HMO, will settle up only contracted amounts. The patient minus insurance can only negotiate a lower payment just after they have wrecked their credit by not being competent to pay. In this case, the hospital would consistency like some payment is better than none.

Your luggage is more like the first. It is the other woman's insurance company that is paying. It is up to them to travel over the bill and find overcharges since it is their money paying the bill. If they don't argue the charges, you are out of luck. And hope they don't come after you for any balance they claim is still left to be remunerated after they take the insurance money.
most hospitals will not steal a dime off the bill when its a liability claim and you have no medical insurance. freshly let them have the money so you can draw from whats left.
Well, they aren't going to negotiate a lower amount, because they don't have to! That's what the settlement amount is intended to take perfectionism of - the medical bills.

I think it's ironic that you're accusing the hospital of being greedy, when you're conversation about money that was rewarded to you with the INTENTION of having it walk to pay the hospital bills, and now you want to hang on to it!!
Why do you want to help HER insurance company? Her insurance will work it out near the hospital.
