Personal Injury skin?

I was injured in a saloon accident a few weeks ago and am considering contacting an attorney but don't really know what to expect. Do these cases tend to go to court or settle? How long does the unharmed process take? I know cases probably vary, but what should I be expecting?
Answers:
Those kinds of things will depend on how strong your grip is.

Most injury attorneys will consult with you for free and can give you a knob on what to expect. You shouldn't have any problem finding one one that works on contingency. The norm is you pay them zilch and they collect 1/3 of whatever money you get. They usually try not easy to settle without going to court, the less money they hold invested the more profit they make on it. Some even make a complex percentage (like 40%) if it does have to go to court.
If you get a lawyer involved this will drag on for a long time. It is nil for these cases to go on for 2 to 3 years. By the time you are done the lawyer will own eaten up about 50% of your settlement.

You are much further ahead to treaty with the insurance company yourself if your injury is not overly serious and permenent. They will work with you and most of the smaller bodily injury claims are closed inwardly 6 to 10 months depending on the medical treatment you require. Your own doctor will actually dictate the length of that. Source(s): Bodily Injury Adjuster near a large automobile insurance company.
If you are dealing near insurance companies they like to drag them out hoping things will go away. When a travel case is dragged out it gets more expensive for both parties and the legal representative will make a lot of money and you will receive the shaft!
